Director
Prof. Wei Ji received his B.S. degree in the Department of Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University in 1999 and Ph.D. degree in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Science at the University of Michigan in 2007. In 2008, Prof. Wei Ji joined Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering. He was promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in 2015 and Full Professor in 2022. In 2023, he was named William H. Hernstadt '57 Faculty Fellow in Nuclear Engineering. At RPI, Dr. Ji leads the Nuclear Computing and Multi-Physics (NuCoMP) Research Group, focusing on the development of innovative computation techniques to address emerging challenges in areas of nuclear energy, medical physics, nuclear safety/security, and space exploration.

Camden earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from RPI in 2020. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering under Dr. Ji.
Researcher Qiyun Cheng
Researcher
Qiyun obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2018 and now he is purchasing his Ph.D. degree.
Researcher Huihua Yang
Researcher
Huihua obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2018 and is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at RPI.
