Joey obtained his Master’s of Science in Physics in 2015 and his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering in 2021 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Physics from Rhodes College in 2014. He has performed research focused on the effects of radiation on SiC semiconductor power devices in high radiation environments such as space which was applied towards designing radiation hardened power devices suitable for NASA space missions.
