For the second year in a row, students from NuCoMP attend the CASL (The Consortium for Advanced Simulation of Light Water Reactors) Institute. CASL is a DOE program for the advanced modeling of light water reactors using a multi-physics framework (VERA). The CASL Institute is an intensive 2 week program where participants learn the theory behind the CASL codes as well as gain invaluable hands-on experience. This year, Jon attended and earned his CASL-VERA Certificate.
